What is your professional background?

As a multi-passionate creative, I explored a variety of communications-related career endeavors. I have a wide range of interests that I’m excited to continue pursuing with Trilix. The spark for sharing a good story was ignited when I landed a leading anchor role for Des Moines’ Channel 12 news show my senior year in high school, which was put on by Central Campus at the time. After graduating from Drake University with a degree in mass communications and journalism, I’ve been a digital editor for a national magazine; contributed to the Better Homes & Gardens Red Plaid Cookbook (15thedition); hosted a radio show; voiced video scripts; authored countless press releases, radio ads, event scripts, employee intranet stories, magazine articles; and more. I’m thrilled to be writing the next chapter of my own story with this company and its amazing clients.

Do you have any fun hobbies?

I joke that my hobby is trying new, expensive hobbies. I’ve been a competitive cyclist, a yoga instructor, a health and lifestyle coach, a music enthusiast, avid rock climber, and — most recently — a baker and cake decorator. Now that I like to spend my time with my girls, I’m lucky if I can get them where they need to go and somehow finish a Peloton workout.

What is your favorite food or restaurant?

As a former restaurant reviewer and food writer, it feels impossible to pick favorites when it comes to eating. I feel so lucky to have so many good places to eat in Des Moines! I’ve never met a pad see ew I didn’t like though.
