In her role as a media planner/buyer at Trilix, Kindra works with clients to develop strategies that deliver maximum impact across traditional and digital media channels. By negotiating competitive ad placements and collaborating with media vendors, she secures exclusive opportunities that enhance brand visibility and improve campaign effectiveness. Kindra also develops, activates, monitors and optimizes campaigns to ensure they are cost-effective and deliver measurable results, helping clients achieve their marketing goals.

What is your professional background?

After graduating from Iowa State University, I worked for marketing agencies in Colorado and Iowa placing traditional media for clients in the retail, energy and nonprofit industries. Prior to landing at Trilix, I spent 14 years working for a convenience retailer buying within its in-house media department. The media landscape is ever-changing, and I’m excited to expand my digital knowledge alongside a great team!

What is something you enjoy about working as a media buyer?

I enjoy getting in the weeds, which works well as there tends to be a lot of moving parts in media buying to ensure clients’ ads are placed on the right outlet, at the right time and to the right audience. Ultimately, our goal is to be good stewards of our clients’ advertising investments, overseeing plans and making sure media placements are as efficient and effective as possible.

As a lifelong Iowan, what’s your favorite thing about living here?

The seasons! Living in extreme weather conditions from time to time makes Midwesterners resilient. We make the most of each season and never take a nice day for granted!
