As a media planner/buyer at Trilix, Chris helps craft media strategies that help clients reach their marketing goals by connecting them with their target audiences via the most efficient tactics possible. 

What is your professional background?

Fresh out of college, I worked in politics and campaigns from the local to the federal level before working in digital marketing for campaigns and nonprofits. From there, I transitioned out of the political realm into the marketing work that Trilix does, working with clients from a variety of different sectors.

What do you like to do in your free time?

There are many things to love about Des Moines, but one of the biggest for me is our trail system. Whenever the weather allows, you can typically catch me biking one of the many routes around town. I’m also an avid moviegoer, getting out to see as many new releases or special screenings as possible — including my personal holiday tradition of seeing “It’s a Wonderful Life” in theaters each year.

What is your favorite vacation you’ve taken?

My favorite vacation wasn’t quite a vacation, but it is the time I spent in Greece studying while in college. As a pollical science major at the time, being able to stand at the site where the concept of democracy was formed was truly an awe-inspiring moment for me. Pro tip: Greek islands are great but try the ones you haven’t heard of. Santorini and Mykonos are beautiful but definite tourist traps during the summer months.
