What is your professional background?
I worked in Washington, D.C., for about seven years in legislative affairs before landing in Des Moines and starting my career path in public relations. Much of my legislative experience crossed over into the communications realm, so I had a great foundation to start. After a time doing media relations for a local company, I transitioned to Trilix in 2014 and have been working in PR and communications ever since. My expertise lies in strategic communications planning, media relations, crisis communication, content generation and relationship building.
What is your go-to drink or snack while working?
Coffee, water and whatever delicious snacks Carole orders for the office. I’m pretty partial to potato chips and beef jerky (not the healthiest options, I know!) as well as local IPAs on Friday for Trilix Beer:30.
What is your life outside work like?
Fortunately, I have a great work-life balance thanks to the culture Trilix has established. Outside of work, it’s all family, all the time. My husband, Dominic, and I have three kiddos: my stepdaughter, Addie, and sons Henry and Grant. They keep us busy with volleyball, gymnastics, soccer and basketball. When we’re not doing extracurriculars, we’re watching family movies, playing card games, golfing, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings or hanging out with friends.
